Lori Koebel is the Vice President of Sustainability & Stakeholder Relations at Alberta Beverage Container Recycling Corporation (ABCRC). She oversees ABCRC’s communications, stakeholder engagement and sustainability portfolios, and drives initiatives that strengthen Alberta’s high-performing beverage container recycling system. Lori also supports national collaboration through her work on harmonized data, low-performing container strategies and the development of circular end markets.

Recognized for her ability to build trusted partnerships and navigate complex policy and operational environments, Lori champions innovative, evidence-based approaches that improve system performance, foster behaviour change and advance Canada’s circular economy. Her leadership has helped position ABCRC as a credible, solutions-focused voice across provincial and national forums.

Lori holds a Master of Sustainability Leadership from Arizona State University and has served on several boards and advisory groups within the recycling and sustainability sector, including previous service with the Recycling Council of Alberta. She also contributes to national initiatives focused on plastics management, producer responsibility and system modernization.
